About the experience and pricing

This is a different experience from traditional school photography.

Each child takes part in a calm, unhurried mini session during the school day. I spend more time with every child so they can relax, have fun, and show real personality, rather than a quick click and move on.

Children tend to enjoy the process and feel more comfortable, and schools often comment on how smoothly the sessions fit into the day.

Traditional school photography usually offers one image per child. My approach creates a larger gallery from a mini session, with more variety for parents to choose from.

Parents choose their favourite images from each child and bring everything together in one simple order, with full flexibility across siblings and no separate minimum spends per child.

The difference is not just price. It is the time given to each child, the experience on the day, and the freedom to choose what feels worth keeping.


ACCESSING YOUR GALLERY


I received an access card with an access code - how can I order my photos?

If you have received an access card with a personal access code, go to the "Login" page, enter the access code and click on "Open Album."


I received an email with login information - how can I order photos?
After placing an order or registering with the online shop, you will receive an email with login credentials. Using your email and the new password, you can use the "Customer Login" to enter your personal gallery, order photos and check the status of your orders.


Help! I’ve lost my access code.

Please contact your school office and let them know. I am unable to share access codes directly.


CHOOSING YOUR PHOTOS:


Can I order for multiple siblings in one place?
Yes absolutely. Click on "Did you get another access code?" under the main menu "Login". You can enter up to five access codes at the same time. This way you will have access to all available photos. You can combine the order and save on shipping costs.


Will the watermark be removed from the image?
All preview images in the gallery are automatically watermarked to protect the photographs from unauthorised copying, screenshots, and AI image removal tools.

Sadly, watermark removal technology has become much more advanced, including AI tools designed to erase photographer branding from images. Watermarks help protect both my work and your child’s photographs while galleries are online.

Any images you purchase will be supplied completely watermark-free in your final download or print order.

Why can't I purchase a digital download for my child's class photos?

Class photos are only available as physical prints, and not as digital downloads. This is to prevent the image from being easily shared or circulated once purchased. Print only is a standard approach across school photography; it also helps respect the privacy of all families and keeps things fair for everyone.


PLACING YOUR ORDER:


What is the quality of the prints?
I use a reputable and trusted print lab that makes fantastic products. If you run into any issues with your order, please do get in touch, and I will be happy to help.


Can I crop the images?
Yes, but I strongly advise against it. You will find this option within the basket. If you crop the image, the selected area is enlarged. Look for the stars which indicate whether the photo's resolution is sufficient for the enlargement.



AFTER YOUR ORDER:

How long does it take to receive the digital downloads?
All digital downloads will be sent via a link to the email you registered with within 1-2 hours of ordering. Please check your junk/spam folders if there is a delay. Please note: If you purchase a single digital download or the download all option, this will not include any prints of the images.

How long will the delivery take for prints?
The delivery time depends on the payment, the products you’ve ordered and the delivery method. The payment must be confirmed before your order can be processed. Orders which include free shipping to schools are processed in bulk 14-21 business days after the order deadline. Delivery time may also vary depending on the type of products ordered. If you select and pay for your order to be sent to your home address, this will be printed, packed and posted in 2-3 working days.

Where can I see the status of my order?
The easiest way is to click the link within your order confirmation email. Alternatively, you can log in with the password and email address you received via email. Once you’ve logged in, your order details can be found under "My Account".

My photographs arrived damaged or missing. What should I do?
Please email me with your order number and, if applicable, a photo of the damage within 7 days of receipt, and we can discuss.

I have missed the order deadline, or I would like to reorder photos from a past session.
Once the gallery closes, there is a £5.00 administration fee to re-open. Please email hello@kirstybowen.com and I will help guide you through the process. Please note: Free delivery to school is only available for orders from my most recent visit (until the free delivery deadline). Any later orders will have postage applied.
